Our impressions

Ammoudi, a beach complex situated 4km east of Plakias and 32km south of Rethymno, is accessible via a paved road that runs through the village of Lefkogia.

Just 200m west of Ammoudi, on a dirt road, you’ll find a parking area with a stunning unrestricted view of Damnoni.

🏖
To your left, you’ll notice an awe-inspiring, miniature sandy beach nestled between two oblong rocks, named Klisidi.
This picturesque beach is ideal for those who prefer privacy and fewer crowds during peak seasons.

🍑
Adjacent to Klisidi, you’ll discover the nudist-friendly Small Ammoudi or Ammoudaki beach, known for its turquoise waters and magnificent white coarse sand.

This small beach is a popular destination for nudists, and there’s a small canteen available that provides umbrellas and sunbeds.

On the west side of the beach, you can swim to a marine cave, where the water’s color turns vivid blue due to the sun’s rays.

🌞
The sandy seabed is ideal for strolling, and at the other end, there is an underwater hole that connects Ammoudaki with Klisidi, accessible only via a dive. You can reach the beaches of Ammoudi by foot, by walking east of Damnoni until you reach Ammoudaki.
