One of the most popular tourist spots on the southern coast of the province of Rethimno is Agia Galini.
This village of white houses is built amphitheatrically around the bay and is located 61 kilometers south of its capital and 68 southwest of Heraklion. The beaches of Agia Galini are immersed in very clean emerald waters.
Shortly after the town’s port there is a huge equipped beach with an always calm sea, suitable for those traveling with children. Not far away there is a second beach of small smooth pebbles while in the surroundings there are some famous caves that can be visited thanks to pleasant excursions.
