How to Make Pastisio

Ingredients:
400 g of pasta (ziti or penne),
400 g of minced beef,
200 g of tomato pulp,
1 onion,
100 g of grated cheese,
extra virgin olive oil, bay leaves, oregano, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, black pepper, bechamel to taste

Procedure:
In a pan pour 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, add the peeled and chopped onion and let it brown over low heat, then add the minced meat, the tomato pulp, the oregano, the salt, the pepper, the bay leaf and cinnamon into small pieces.
Stir and continue cooking for about twenty minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a pan with plenty of water and salt, then drain it.

Turn on the oven to 200 degrees.

Pour 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil into the bottom of a baking dish and distribute them carefully, so as to cover the entire surface. Form a layer of ziti, sprinkle with half of the grated cheese, then proceed with the meat sauce and béchamel, always taking care to distribute them evenly. Finish with the remaining part of grated cheese and place the pan in the preheated oven.
After 20-30 minutes, when the gratin is perfect, the Pastitsio will be ready.
